Big Yard is making waves with the announcement of their highly anticipated debut EP, 54th St., which marks a milestone in the band’s journey of musical innovation. Led by the talented singer-songwriter Darryl Scotti, Big Yard weaves together an eclectic mix of rock, pop, smooth jazz, big band, and R&B, all with a sleek, modern edge. Scotti, who has collaborated with notable artists across genres, is joined by an impressive lineup of musicians, including Alex Chacon, Aaron Howard, Larry Antonino, with the iconic Pablo Cruise.

Since founding Big Yard Nation in 2022, Scotti and his bandmates have been on a steady rise, beginning with the release of their debut single, "Proof," earlier this year. A fresh spin on country rock ‘n’ roll, "Proof" grabbed attention for its unique style and set the tone for what was to follow. The band's ability to draw from multiple genres is a standout quality, appealing to fans of smooth pop, jazz, and rock alike.

The success continued with singles like "State of Mind," "Happy Day," and "Melody," which have further showcased Big Yard’s versatility and broad appeal. Each song brings something new, whether it’s the feel-good vibes of pop or the depth of smooth jazz-infused rock, proving the band’s commitment to exploring various musical landscapes.

Their debut EP, 54th St., is the culmination of Big Yard’s creative evolution. Featuring six tracks, including the new singles "Give It Away" and "Sweet Soulmate," the EP introduces listeners to the depth and range of their sound. "Give It Away" stands out as an intimate country pop-rock ballad with heartfelt lyrics and a timeless message: "You can’t keep love until you give love away."

The track’s melodic guitar lines, paired with Scotti’s emotive vocals and lush backing harmonies, offer a rich listening experience reminiscent of greats like Cliff Richard and Billy Joel, with a modern twist akin to John Mayer.

With 54th St., Big Yard solidifies their place as a band to watch. Their unique fusion of contemporary country pop-rock and nostalgic influences promises to resonate with listeners looking for both familiarity and fresh, boundary-pushing soundscapes.
