Bowden, an alt-rock band from the west of Ireland, is making a name for themselves in the Irish music scene. Known for their energetic live shows and powerful songs, they’ve been gaining attention since their single "Be Your Own God" gained popularity on national radio.
Now, they’re back with a new track called "Undertow," released on March 21st. This powerful song delves into the emotional turmoil of a relationship falling apart, capturing the struggle between sadness, self-destruction, and the inevitable end. The band describes the song as not just about letting go, but about surviving the struggle and discovering what remains afterward. With strong emotion and their unique style, "Undertow" is both haunting and freeing.
Along with the new single, Bowden has announced their debut album, Glacier, set for release on May 9th. Produced by Christian Best, who has worked with artists like Mick Flannery and Susan O'Neill, Glacier promises to showcase a bright future for Irish music. The album also features contributions from talented musicians Matthew Berrill and Dylan Howe.
Bowden’s first two singles, "Peel" and "Everyone," have already earned them praise and comparisons to bands like Villagers and Radiohead. With Glacier set to drop and a busy schedule of shows ahead, 2025 looks to be a huge year for the band.
