Hailing from the lush landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, Jacob Wesley is carving his path in the alternative and indie pop scene with a sound that’s as introspective as it is infectious. Following the success of his 2024 singles Easy To Be Alone and Motel Room, which collectively garnered hundreds of thousands of streams, Wesley begins 2025 with his most accomplished work to date: ‘Fine Lines’.

Born out of a period of self-discovery during the pandemic, Wesley’s journey into music began when he borrowed a friend’s recording equipment to pass the time. The experience sparked a passion that led him to shift his focus from studies at Oregon State University to a new major in Music Technology & Production. Now, as a self-proclaimed “one hundred percenter,” Wesley writes, produces, and records all his music independently in his home studio, giving every track an unmistakably personal touch.

‘Fine Lines’ is a sonic tapestry of melancholy and hope, blending dreamy bedroom pop with mainstream alt-pop influences. With its pop-woven melodies, introspective lyrics, and slow, brooding instrumentation, the track effortlessly bridges the gap between indie authenticity and radio-ready appeal. Drawing inspiration from Mac Miller, Still Woozy, and The Script, Wesley crafts a sound that is as much about emotion as it is about technical prowess.

‘Fine Lines’ exemplifies Wesley’s growth as an artist, showcasing his meticulous approach to production and his ability to evoke raw emotion through music. Whether you’re a fan of the laid-back grooves of Mac DeMarco or the anthemic hooks of Maroon 5, ‘Fine Lines’ offers something to resonate with listeners from all walks of life.

With this release, Jacob Wesley solidifies his place as an exciting voice in modern alt-pop—a name to watch in 2025 and beyond.
