ALBUM 1 - "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming" by M83
I can appreciate this album a lot for its use of synthesisers and ethereal vocals. Even the interludes in between the album give a consistent flow to the story. Definitely up in my top 5 albums that I have listened to.
ALBUM 2 - "The Fat of the Land" by The Prodigy
From the sampled breaks to the hard hitting basslines, this album has served as a massive inspiration for me ever since I discovered The Prodigy in my younger years. Everytime I listen to the album, it brings so much fire and energy.
ALBUM 3 - "Moments Elsewhere" by Johnny Booth
One of the most cathartic albums I have ever listened to. I randomly discovered it on a 5 hour drive back from the destination I visited. The screaming vocals, heavily distorted guitars and bass, mixed with the big hard hitting drums got this constant adrenaline moving in my body so constantly. It's like this constant churning in my gut was going on while listening to this constant aggressiveness I resonated with. It consumes you.
ALBUM 4 - "MICHAEL" by Killer Mike
The epitome of telling a story through an album. From start to finish Killer Mike explains his upbringing as a kid, to the community he was surrounded with. Really love how it represents South rap also. I've probably listened to it 15 times this year.
ALBUM 5 - "Welcome Reality" by Nero
One of the main albums that has influenced the way I produce and construct my music. They have forever inspired me from sound design to strong structure.
