Ridge Runners Unleashes New Single 'The Rest of Us'

Philadelphia-based rock outfit Ridge Runners has unleashed a sonic storm with their latest single, "The Rest of Us," a bold testament to their evolution into a powerhouse within the rock genre. This track encapsulates the electric connection between the band and their audience, with a message that refuses to be silenced.

In "The Rest of Us," Ridge Runners strip rock and roll down to its essentials: thunderous drums, blistering guitars, textured organ undertones, and the commanding vocals of Coleman Rigg. The song brims with raw attitude, driven by an outrage that leaves no stone unturned, taking aim at politics, corporations, and other societal forces. It’s a fist-pumping anthem in the spirit of John Fogerty and Sam Fender, merging protest chant with fight song, all while Rigg’s defiant optimism honors the grit of those on the front lines.

Produced by Philly music luminary Barney Cortez at The Church studio, "The Rest of Us" was recorded live to capture the band’s collective energy. Longtime collaborator Matt Poirier, known for his work with The National and Restorations, handled mixing and mastering, ensuring the track stays true to Ridge Runners' authentic sound.

Since their 2020 debut with "Too Close," Ridge Runners have carved out a distinct niche in Philadelphia’s music scene with electrifying performances and poignant lyricism. Their two full-length albums and a string of singles, including the riveting "A Place I Never Thought I’d Be," underscore their commitment to a unique sound.

Fronted by vocalist and guitarist Coleman Rigg, the band features Zach Kaeser on guitar, Brett Harder on keys, John Kaeser on drums, and Kevin McCall on bass. Their music combines classic rock DNA with indie intensity, echoing influences like Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, and Arctic Monkeys. Ridge Runners are driven by a creative imperative to build a musical inferno, with every rhythm, riff, and lyric resonating deep within the souls of their audience.

With "The Rest of Us" garnering praise, Ridge Runners are cementing their place as Philadelphia rock royalty, promising to shake the foundations of rock with their upcoming releases and a sound that's entirely their own.
