Brooklyn-born artist Tyrin invites listeners on an intimate journey of self-reflection with his new 6-track EP, Blue Hour, a poignant exploration of heartbreak, healing, and moving forward. Known for his genreless approach to music, Tyrin combines his pop-punk and hip-hop roots with the rawness of personal introspection, crafting a hybrid of indie-pop, rock and hip-hop soundscapes that is uniquely his own.
Blue Hour is a testament to Tyrin’s growth, both as an artist and a person. The EP’s title encapsulates the emotional essence of the project—“the moment of reflection after heartbreak when you pick up the pieces and push forward,” Tyrin explains. The result is a collection of tracks that resonate with themes of resilience, transformation, and hope.
The making of Blue Hour spanned four transformative years in Tyrin’s life. “During that time, I went through a lot personally, and music was always the easiest way for me to express myself,” he shares. Over those years, Tyrin created countless songs, pouring his emotions into his work. The challenge came in narrowing them down. “I finally took a step back, listened to all the demos, and started to feel out which songs fit my blue hour,” he recalls.
Tyrin sound is a melting pot of influences, from the emotional charge of early pop-punk to the rhythmic storytelling of hip-hop. Working with his band, Tyrin has evolved beyond traditional boundaries, creating tracks that feel both deeply personal and universally relatable. The EP’s sonic journey mirrors its emotional depth, balancing vulnerability with empowerment.
Whether you’re reflecting on your own journey or simply seeking an authentic musical experience, Tyrin’s latest EP offers a poignant reminder of the beauty in rebuilding and moving forward.
