Zëta Ræ Releases Emotional New Single ‘Stay’

Dave Bedford

Nashville-based alternative pop/rock artist Zëta Ræ, the genre-bending brainchild of Hannah Schmeling, unveils her latest single, “Stay”. A vulnerable track devoted to the feelings of acceptance, insecurity and the fearless self-expression that comes with falling in love, demonstrated through her introspective lyricism and grunge-inspired vocals.

Bringing her vision to life, Zëta collaborated with Matt Bolton and Josh Parra in the studio, where the song's arrangement quickly took shape. The track masterfully balances delicate vulnerability with a powerful sense of self-ownership, embodying the emotional duality that defines her music.

“‘Stay’ is about finding acceptance through vulnerability, and owning who you are.” Zëta Ræ explains, “It can be uncomfortable to reveal parts of yourself that normally you hide, but that’s the beauty of intimacy”

"Stay" marks another bold step in Zëta Ræ’s genre-defying journey—an artist known for effortlessly blending alternative pop with elements of soul, shoegaze, jazz, and hyperpop. With previous releases like the hyperpop anthem ‘ilove’, the grunge-inspired ‘24’, and the ambient dreamscape of her 2023 EP ‘everywhere you are is a garden’, Zëta continues to push sonic boundaries while maintaining an unmistakable authenticity.

With an ever-growing fanbase and a reputation for electrifying performances, Zëta Ræ is proving herself to be a force in the alternative pop scene.
